Our special permits and equipment allow you to see more by taking a shortcut into Joshua Tree and avoid the hour drive to get to the main entrance. Our tour climbs a mile high to Eureka Peak located in the heart of the some of the oldest and largest Joshua Trees in the park. Most people miss this area as it requires a 4 x 4.

Leave the driving to us. Rather than wonder where in the Park to go, let your mind wander to the scenery. Allow your expert national park guide to take you to places to enjoy vistas and not concern yourself with the details. Most people miss many of the amazing locations in the park including its Inselbergs and Indian caves. We know and would love to show you!

We operate ALL YEAR and offer both am and pm tours. Early reservations are strongly recommended as we are usually sold out as we are limited in seating for our National Park Tours.

Joshua Tree National Park fees are only $30 per vehicle. It is an amazing place of solace far from the noise and confusion of the city. We recommend for those with extra time to camp under the stars. Be warned, however, that Joshua Tree National Park occupies a vast area with no supplies or fuel stations. For a helpful PARK MAP click here. HINT: If you do want to use a guide service to see the interior of park, you may first want to ask if they have permits to visit any of the main attractions inside the park including the famous rock formations of Queens Valley or go to Keys Point. The H-1 military Hummer is the state of the art off road vehicle. The vehicles have independent 1 ton suspensions that make it a comfortable ride for everyone from 6 months to 100 years of age. If you are at all concerned about comfort and prefer a luxury tour, reserve our luxury H2 tour.

We leave when temperatures are cool in the morning in the Palm Springs area. Temperatures can reach over 100 degrees in Palm Springs. However, our tour climbs up to elevation 5515 feet where temperatures are typically 20 degrees cooler then the hot lower desert. To keep you comfortable, we shuttle you during hot summers and cold winters in a climate controlled SUV or Van to the open air Hummer waiting for you in Joshua Tree. If you’re sensitive to the heat, we recommend upgrading a tour to our Joshua Tree Backroads Tour aboard our fleet of air-conditioned CUSTOM H2 Hummers.

The H-1 Hummer is a military class Hummer, also once called a Humvee. Once General Motors started selling the Hummer brand, they introduced the H-2. A true H-1 with all the armor upgrades costs some $100,000 more than an H-2 or a Jeep. The H-1s we use on our adventure tours are OPEN AIR and provide a full sensory experience of the desert. The H-2 is the last real military grade SUV to be retailed. Our H-2s have all the performance of the Hummer class but protect you from the elements. They are equipped with large sunroofs and room for a smaller more intimate group.

We offer an hour off of the Hummer for optional walks and photo stops. Bring some good walking shoes.

This is one of the most popular activities in the Palm Springs. As we are limited in how many people we can take each day, we are typically sold out. We recommend reserving at least 3 days in advance on normal days and even a month in advance in summer and on holidays.

There are at least 3 times we stop at locations that offer “civilized” bathrooms.

A 15% to 20% gratuity is customary. Cash and Venmo are gratefully accepted.
