Our had an unforgettable experience on our Hummer tour through Joshua Tree National Park thanks to our guide, Bob. From start to finish, he made the entire adventure engaging, informative, and genuinely fun. Bob’s knowledge of the park is on another level — he shared history, geology, wildlife facts, and local stories in a way that kept everyone hooked. He has that rare mix of expertise and personality: funny, thoughtful, and always paying attention to the group’s interests and comfort. He took us to incredible viewpoints, pointed out things we never would have noticed on our own, and made sure we had plenty of time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the scenery. What really stood out was how effortless he made the whole experience — smooth driving, great pacing, and a relaxed vibe that let us soak in the beauty of Joshua Tree without any stress. I was upgraded to open-air hummer, which I would not recommend on a cool day. I had to sit on the top tier because a family insisted on sitting at the bottom together (which was understandable) but it is windiest at the top. And freezing cold. Thankfully they had nice thick blankets that me and the other two ladies bundled ourselves in. The lady beside me had a long ponytail that kept whipping me in the ear and I swear it felt like something was biting my ear because the wind was so intense when we were going fast. Not her fault of course. But be warned- the wind can be brutal. I literally felt beat-up by the wind. It’s hard to describe unless you have experienced it yourself. That part of the tour was not enjoyable. But the tour itself was great. We had a female guide and while she wasn’t as knowledgeable as Tom- she tried her best and was nice. She constantly offered snacks and water. She was approachable and offered to take pictures for us lots. I did eavesdrop on Tom’s tour a few times because he had a lot of additional things to say. There were three hummers and three guides that all kind of went along together bumping into each other from time to time. I was disappointed that we didn’t get to go on the Hidden Valley Trail. We went through the parking lot once and we could have gotten a spot if she had waited for people leaving to vacate their spots. There were quite a few people leaving. But that’s just one thing you have to accept on tours like this- you don’t always get to choose what you see & do. I would have liked to actually hike. We did do some walking but when you are with a group you have to go at a slow pace. You can’t really go wrong visiting Joshua Tree- it’s unique and beautiful. Overall the tour is good and the company seems professional. They took us to some good sites and giving us time to shop at the tourist centre was nice. Lots of bathroom opportunities as well. I’d recommend this tour & company to friends. Just a star off for the high wind exposure (inevitable in an open air hummer) and less knowledgeable guide with little effort for the one trail. But perhaps there’s a protocol for how much time they can spend looking for parking. Our tour went way over too- don’t expect to get back at your expected time if you have something planned after. If the company is reading this, I apologize for my honesty but my aim with reviews is to always help others. Tom was an amazing guide as we journeyed through Joshua Tree National Park. He was extremely knowledgeable about the rock formations, vegetation, and especially the Joshua trees. This was truly the highlight of our trip to Palm Springs and I’ll never listen to “A Horse with No Name” without envisioning the beauty of the park. It was a blast riding in the Hummer but I do recommend hair ties for those with long locks. I’m still trying to comb out the snarled hair, but so worth it!

We had the best experience with Tom as our Joshua Tree tour guide! Our group of nine 50+ year-old best girlfriends was visiting for the first time, and Tom was the perfect fit! He was funny, patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. He shifted from silly to serious effortlessly and made everyone feel included. Two friends had mobility challenges, and Tom handled that beautifully. He found ways for the more active women to explore and scramble while still making sure the others were comfortable and part of everything. His thoughtful music playlists had us singing along, and we ended the day bonded over our shared love of Prince. Even with rain all day, the trip felt magical. We had an awesome tour with Denise as our guide yesterday . She was a lot of fun and told some great stories. Lots of photo ops and we got to do a little hike to the “ hot tub” . The only complaint we had was that we were not prepared for the wind while driving on main roads. I just assumed hey we are in the desert , let’s wear shorts and a T-shirt . Denise did have spare jackets that saved the day tho. Overall great time and would definitely recommend .
