Yes. The only difference between the two is simply the existence of an all important air-conditioner or even a heater in the cold winters.
Your guides are also the same as well as all the wonderful places for photos and walks.
No open air tours to Joshua Tree are offered from December to February.

We have limits on how many we can take at one time inside Joshua Tree National Park and our tickets are often soldout during the high season. Be sure to purchase yours in advance. We do offer full refunds with at least a 48 hour notice.
In Joshua Tree, we offer about 1 mile of optional walks. Usually half the group stays near the trailhead to take photos and absorb the solace of Joshua Tree. The trails are well maintained with plenty of benches along the way as well. People of all ages can easily do our tours.
Please take comfortable walking shows for our optional walks of about 1 mile total. Also remember to wear layered clothing and know temperatures could change 20 to 30 degrees during our journey. Don’t dress in shorts in the winter.
We do not offer pickups at individual hotels or homes for our public tours. We do offer this as a service on our private tours.
We provide water, snacks park entrance fees, expert guide and a comfortable touring experience that will be the best memory of your holiday.
While Palm Springs is sizzling in the “lower desert”, it is about 20 to 30 F degrees cooler in the higher desert. The open air hummer tour is offered all year except from December to February. We recommend using our air-conditioned tours from July to September when touring temperatures can start at 80 F and reach 100 F on the return.

The Hummer is the MOST capable and comfortable vehicle for tours. Our vehicles are real military grade Hummers that have been updated with cleaner engines and incredible seating space with forward facing benches.
The Hummer is great for all ages and promises not to be a jarring experience.

While it is an exciting experience to be in the great open air experience offered by the H-1 Hummer, we do offer enclosed Hummers, SUVs or vans with a $50 pp refund should we need to cancel the open-air tour for bad weather.
We offer a full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours prior. Otherwise, your tour is non-refundable.
Our H-1 Hummers are the military Humvees and outfitted with an extra large bench seating with a camouflage top. When too hot or cold, our H2 Hummer is an enclosed version that can seat 5. The advantage is the air-conditioner in the summer and the warm heater in the winter when it can even snow in Joshua Tree.
Be careful of tour operators that promise an “off-road adventure” in the park.
Offroading is stricly prohibited in Joshua Tree National Park. However, we do go on some dirt roads that are designated by the park as open to the public.
The best part of the tour, of course, is the scenery and your expert driver/guide.
During the season our tours are typically all soldout at least a week in advance. We typically have a waiting list from December to March.
We recommend an early reservation. If you need to change dates or even cancel, no problem. Just contact us to change to a new date or even tour to amend your reservation. We can accomodate as many as 100 for our corporate groups looking for a tour into Joshua Tree with an approximate time of 6 hours. You can book private Hummers right on our website if you are seeking 1 or 2 Hummers. Contact us for group quotes.
Our H-1 Hummers and Adventure Vans can seat up to 9 passengers. Our small group H-2 Hummer can seat up to 5.
We can take anyone as young as 6 months old. We do require you to bring your own car seat if your child is under 2 years old.
This tour is not advisable if you are in your 3rd trimester for our San Andreas Fault off-road adventure.
We pride ourselves of having an elite and expert team. We have biologists, geologists and naturalists that are part of the team. These guides bring their love of the park and vast knowledge on tour to make the scenery come alive with stories and great facts.
We promise you will have both a knowledgable experience and one that gives you a detailed exploration into the history and natural science of this wonderous place.
All guides must possess and CPR and First Aid certificate and possess a Wilderness Guide permit with the National Park. All guides typically have their own specialities and advanced degrees but are continually trained to become knowledgable about the park including taking classes at the Desert Institute and taking other continuing education courses.
Guides are knowledgable about the Flora, Fauna, Geology and Cultural History of the areas. It is like having a friendly professor with you to learn and joke with.
But, we want people to enjoy the journey besides always having to be lectured. Guides must allow a lot of time to simply not speak and allow the natural splendor along with some great music tracks do all the talking!
